First branch of Sumitomo Mitsui Japanese bank inaugurates in Kingdom

Riyadh, February 11, 2019, SPA --Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tsukasa Uemura inaugurated here yesterday the first branch of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in the Kingdom.
In his speech at the ceremony held at the Japanese Embassy in Riyadh, the Japanese Ambassador commended the great economic changes taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Saudi vision 2030. He added that Japan welcomes these economic transformations and hopes to be a partner in achieving the vision through the agreement signed during the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Japan in 2017, looking forward that the Bank's entry in the Saudi market will contribute to the development of Saudi-Japanese economic relations.
The Ambassador also noted that the bank considered one of the largest banks in the world and has a considerable experience in financial and banking services, hoping that the bank will play a pivotal role in attracting Japanese investors to the Saudi market.
A number of Saudi and Japanese officials and investors attended the ceremony.
