Saudi Arabia’s First Accredited Diploma Program to Qualify Music Instructors Launched

The Music Home in Riyadh has announced the launch of the first music diploma program accredited by the Ministry of Culture, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, representing a qualitative leap in the field of education, in line with future aspirations.

Executive Director of the Institute Moataz Al-Shabanah said in a press conference held yesterday on the premises of the Home that the diploma program begins this September and has a duration of two academic years.

He stressed that the program contributes to spreading the culture of music as a global language and serves as a channel for building bridges of communication with other cultures.

Al-Shabanah said that the program has two tracks, music education and music performance, and that it qualifies graduates to be music teachers in schools or professional instrument players. It is run according to approved academic curricula that are compatible with the best international educational curricula.

Attending the press conference were Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture for National Partnerships and Development Noha Qattan, media figures and musicians.
