President of the General Court of Audit Receives Auditor General of Pakistan

President of the General Court of Audit Dr. Hussam Al-Anqari received in Riyadh today the Auditor General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ajmal Gondal, and his accompanying delegation.

Dr. Al-Anqari pointed out the importance of this visit, which comes as part of promoting cooperation, collaboration, and exchange of expertise, and in term of enhancing the efficiency of performance and developing human resources in both supreme audit institutions.

For his part, Gondal affirmed his keenness to enhance the existing cooperation between the two agencies, which is part of the relations between the two countries.

The two sides held a meeting in which several issues of common interest were discussed. The visiting delegation was also briefed on the General Court of Audit’s experiences in the fields of financial audit and performance control.

Saudi Stock Exchange Main Index Ends Trading Higher at 10,724.62 Points

Saudi Stock Exchange's main index ended trading higher here today, gaining 42.61 points to close at 10,724.62 points.

The total value of the trading reported was SR3 billion, while the toll of shares traded was 98 million, divided into over 220,000 deals.

The Saudi Parallel Market Index (NOMU) ended the day gaining 243.64 points, to close at 19,456.81 points, with a valuation of SR13.5 million and an overall tally of more than 200,000 stocks traded and divided into a total of 1,626 deals.

CEO of SFD Receives Two Delegations from Guinea, Chad

CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad received here today Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of Guinea Dr. Diaka Sidibe and her accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed development projects and programs that SFD finances in Guinea, in addition to means to enhance development cooperation in the educational sector, noting that development projects in Guinea have been completed. During her tour of the photo exhibition at SFD, the minister was briefed on the development activity of the SFD in developing countries since its establishment.

In a separate meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, International Cooperation, and Chadians Abroad of the Republic of Chad Mahamat Saleh Annadif, Al-Marshed discussed development issues of joint interests, where the Chadian minister praised the Kingdom's development efforts, through SFD, and the development role of such schemes to the infrastructure sector in Chad.

SFD has provided Chad with seven development loans to finance six development projects and programs to support the infrastructure, water, education, transport, and communications sectors in Chad, with an estimated value of more than $131 million, in addition to providing two grants to the third and fifth phases of the Saudi Well Drilling and Rural Development Program in Africa worth $13 million to contribute to supporting economic growth and social prosperity.

KSrelief’s Masam Project Dismantles 1,045 Mines within a Week in Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project (Masam) for clearing mines in Yemen, dismantled, during the first week of January 2023, a total of 1,045 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen.

Since the beginning of the project, as many as 383,139 mines have been dismantled.

The Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, seeks through the project to clear Yemeni lands of the mines that were randomly planted by the Houthi militia causing death and injury of innocent children, women, and the elderly.

GCC Secretary-General Meets with Qatari Minister of Finance

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf met here today with Qatari Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, on the occasion of the end of Al-Hajraf's tenure as the GCC Secretary General.

During the meeting, the Qatari Minister of Finance commended the GCC Secretary General's great efforts in serving the unity, solidarity, and issues of the GCC.

For his part, Dr. Al-Hajraf praised Qatar's support of the GCC Secretariat's efforts and its contributions to the GCC march toward the accomplishment of all GCC citizens' ambitions.
