Saudi Rowing Team Wins Bronze at World Rowing Indoor Championships

Riyadh-- The Saudi rowing team won a bronze medal at the mixed relay for the World Indoor Rowing Championships, which concluded its competition yesterday in the city of Mississauga, Canada.

Hassan Kadri, Khalid Shakir, Faten Mirza and Iman Rafiq won the medal after finishing third in 05:50.3 minutes.

Saudi Arabia's head coach, Matthew Tarrant, selected 28 players to compete in the tournament. The participants went through 24 different categories in which they received advanced figures and positions.

President of the Saudi Rowing Federation, Ali Reza, expressed pride in the achievements of the team and extended his congratulations to the athletes, the technical staff and the administrative personnel.

He said: "We look forward to more vigorous efforts to achieve the best results and win tournaments in the coming period, within the strategic plan we have developed,โ€ commending the continued support of the leadership for sports and athletes, especially the Saudi Rowing Federation.
