Saudi Ambassador to USA Participates in Opening of Special Olympics Unified Cup-Detroit 2022

Washington, August 3, 2022, SPA -- Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the USA and member of the International Olympic Committee, has participated in the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics Unified Cup-Detroit 2022, which is held in Detroit City, Michigan, where the Saudi team for the unified football participates for the first time along with 22 teams side by side with other three Arab teams representing the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Morocco.

Princess Reema, in a speech addressing the Saudi team, praised their good performance through this tournament, where the Saudi team won its first match against the Singaporean team, expressing her pride for this win and wishing the Saudi team luck to reach advanced stages in the tournament.

The Saudi team plays in the second group that also includes the national teams of Paraguay, Romania and Singapore.

The ambassador was joined by member of the board of directors of the Saudi Special Olympics Lina Al Maina and Advisor to the Saudi Special Olympics Rana Taibah.
