CORE Diriyah E-Prix 2023 to Kick off Next Friday

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship, the world’s first international fully-electric single-seater street racing series, returns to Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, where all 11 teams and 22 drivers will take to the grid once again for the fifth time in the Kingdom. The race will be titled "CORE Diriyah E-Prix 2023".

Driven by the latest innovations in electric vehicle technology, alternative energy solutions, and thrilling racing in the heart of the Saudi historic capital, Diriyah, Formula E redefines the very boundaries of what a sport can be through the unique fusion of entertainment, sustainability, technology, and innovation.

The Formula E race 2023 will be held on a circuit with a length of 2.495 km and 21 turns.

OIC Secretary General Receives Guinea Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, has received Dr. Diaka Sidibé, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of the Republic of Guinea and her accompanying delegation.

The OIC Secretary General paid tribute to Guinea, a founding member country of the OIC, for its constant commitment to the OIC and to joint Islamic action.

The meeting focused on ways and means of strengthening cooperation relations in the field of higher and university education between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Republic of Guinea.

The OIC Secretary General stressed the importance of access of youth to higher education, which is a driving force for change in the OIC member states.

For her part, the Minister of Higher Education of Guinea expressed her full readiness to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation relations with the OIC and its institutions.

KSrelief Rehabilitates Two Schools in Al-Muhrah Governorate as Part of Education Support Program to Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) rehabilitated on Friday the Ibn Al-Hijlah primary school and Sumaya secondary school in Yemen’s Al-Muhrah governorate’s Sayhut and Mseila districts, in addition to distributing school bags and uniforms to 917 male and female students as part of the education support program to Yemen.

Local Council Secretary General Salem Abdullah Neimer commended KSrelief’s humanitarian efforts and services to the Yemeni people and its funding of a number of projects in the education sector aimed at providing a better education environment to students.

The project seeks to improve the education environment through rehabilitating 23 schools and distributing school bags and informs in Yemen’s Aden, Hujjah, Hadhramaut, and Al-Muhrah governorates, benefiting a total of 11,586 male and female students.

This comes as part of the Kingdom’s relief and humanitarian projects to Yemen, implemented through KSrelief, with the aim of improving and rehabilitating the education sector in Yemen.

Arab Bureau of Education for GCC Countries, UNESCO Sign MoU

Arab Bureau of Education for GCC Countries Director General Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Asimi and Director of the UNESCO Regional Bureau Costanza Farina signed a memorandum of understanding today which aims at enhancing bilateral and regional cooperation in education and improving curriculum.

The memo stipulates expertise exchange in networking fields, sharing and improving technical support, publication of research and reports concerning the Sustainable Development Goal 4, improving education systems at the regional and international levels, following up on the outcomes of the United Nations transforming education summit, implementing joint activities, and participating in national and regional events and activities organized by each side.
