KSrelief Distributes 2,110 Winter Bags in Pakistan

Islamabad-- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed on Friday 2,110 winter bags in the Republic of Pakistan, benefiting 14,770 people.

This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief aid being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, to the needy countries and peoples around the world.

Public Security Launches Driving Authorization Service for Saudi Arabia’s Visitors

Riyadh-- The General Directorate of Public Security, represented by the General Traffic Department, launched the driving authorization service for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's visitors. It is one of the electronic services provided through the Ministry of Interior platform "Absher Business" which allows car rental companies to authorize kingdom’s visitors to drive vehicles through the border number.

?This service saves efforts and time for visitors without the need to visit the offices of the relevant sectors of the Ministry of Interior and enables car rental companies to provide them with automated services, as they include visitors and tourists coming to the Kingdom while attending the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

?The launch of this service comes as an extension of the Ministry of Interior's endeavors to enable digital transformation, provide electronic services and digital solutions to citizens, residents and visitors, and process their requests easily in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

KSrelief Distributes 500 Food Baskets, in West Darfur State, Sudan

Khartoum-- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed on Friday 500 food baskets in West Darfur State, Sudan, benefiting 3,686 families.

This aid comes within the framework of the food aid provided to the people affected by the floods as well as the neediest families in the Republic of Sudan.

Students from 50 Nationalities Participate in Bebras Mawhiba; Results to be Announced Monday

Riyadh– In the first participation of its kind, students from 50 nationalities residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently participated in a competition, where 38,000 students from inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have participated in the competition. King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness (Mawhiba) will announced its results during an official ceremony under the patronage of Mawhiba Secretary General Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa on Monday November 21, 2022.

Director of Competitions Department at Mawhiba Badr Al-Mijthari said that “Bebras Mawhiba Competition targets public education students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between the third elementary and third secondary classes, where a total of 38,041 students, including 34,843 Saudis, have registered for this year’s competition from various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where 35,743 students sat for the exam.

He noted that Bebras this year saw a wide participation of 3,198 Arab and international students within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia belonging to 50 nationalities across the world, noting that the most enrolled were Arab students, where Egyptian students came first with 850 students, followed by 559Yemeni students, then 496 Syrian students, 449Jordanian students, 274Sudanese, then the rest of the Arab countries. As for non-Arab students, the highest number of students was for Pakistanis with 61. Tunisian students totaled 55, 46 Palestinians, 34 Indians, 24 Afghanis, 23 Lebanese and 21 from the United States.

The Bebras Challenge is the gateway to nominating and joining the Saudi team of informatics and representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the International Informatics Olympics, after Bebras was adopted as the main entrance to the International Olympics Talent Program instead of Mawhoob (Talented) Competition.

Bebras is an international competition aimed at promoting computational informatics and thinking among school students of all ages, using a range of problem-solving skills and techniques, in which more than 2 million students from more than 70 countries participated.

The Bebras Competition consists of a series of short online problems called Bebras missions, which can be solved without prior knowledge, but requires logical thinking and resolving as many problems as possible within the allocated time.

Noor Riyadh Festival 2022 Concludes Activities by Recording 6 Guinness World Records

Riyadh-- “Noor Riyadh Festival 2022” has concluded its cultural and artistic activities Saturday evening after lasted for 17 days.

The events of Noor Riyadh contributed to the consolidation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position on the map of the global art scene, and the registration of the celebration in the “Guinness World Records” as “the largest celebration of light arts on earth at the world level.”

The 2nd edition of Noor Riyadh Festival 2022 succeeded in achieving five other world records within the Guinness World Records.

The activities, which were launched on November 3, 2022, under the theme “We Dream of New Horizons”, contributed to enriching the cultural and artistic scene in the Kingdom by receiving over 2.8 million visitors throughout the celebration period to enjoy the creativity of more than 130 artists representing 40 countries around the world.

Noor Riyadh Festival 2022 is one of "Riyadh Art" programs among the four major Riyadh projects, launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on March 19, 2019, under the leadership and supervision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) with the aim of transforming the city of Riyadh into an open art gallery that mixes tradition and contemporary in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs in promoting arts among the residents and visitors of the city of Riyadh.

For his part, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, member of the Board of Directors of RCRC, and Chairman of the Steering Committee of "Riyadh Art" program said, "The 2nd edition of Noor Riyadh Festival was distinguished by the insightful vision and generous care of HRH Crown Prince, which enabled the celebration to become the world's largest in the field of light arts," noting that "this success would not have been achieved without Allah Almighty's grace, and then the unlimited support of the Kingdom's prudent leadership for the sector of arts in light of movement, transformation and renewal which the Kingdom is witnessing in its various sectors.

GCC Secretary-General, Bahraini Foreign Minister Discuss Enhancing Efforts in Support of GCC Action March

Manama-- The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Naif Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, and the Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, discussed the march of GCC joint action and areas of support and enhancement.

This came on the sidelines of their participation in the 18th edition of Manama Dialogue 2022, which will be concluded today.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to support the gains and accomplish more achievements within the framework of the GCC, in a way that contributes to meeting the aspirations of the citizens of its member countries for progress, prosperity and renaissance, in accordance with the directives of the leaders of the GCC countries.

The meeting also discussed a number of issues on GCC joint action, in addition to reviewing latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
