Royal Court: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Calls for Performing Rain Prayers on Thursday

Riyadh– The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud called for the performance of Istisqa (rain-seeking) prayers all over the Kingdom next Thursday, the Royal Court said in a statement issued today.

The statement recalled that the performance of Istisqa prayers is a good imitation following the deeds of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called on everybody to pray to Allah Almighty for repentance, forgiveness, and mercy.

Riyadh-- Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a congratulatory cable to Natasa Pirc Musar on her victory in the presidential elections in Slovenia.

In his cable, the King expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes of success to Her Excellency, and to the friendly people of the Republic of Slovenia, further progress and prosperity.

Saudi Guest of Honor Attends Polish Embassy Reception Party to Celebrate ND

Riyadh-- On behalf of Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, the Undersecretary of Riyadh Region Municipality Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudairy, graced here this evening the reception party held by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Kingdom to celebrate the anniversary of its country's national day.

At the venue, Dr. Al-Sudairy was received by the Charge d'Affaires of Poland Robert Trzeciak and a number of senior Embassy member staff.

The event was attended by the Director of the General Directorate for Diplomatic Corps Affairs Abdullah Al-Rashed and a number of diplomatic corps accredidted to the Kingdom.

Saudi Taekwondo Team to Participates in World Taekwondo Championships in Mexico

Guadalajara-- The Saudi Taekwondo team will participate today in the World Taekwondo Championship, which will continue until November 20 in the Mexican city of Guadalajara, with the participation of 122 countries.

The Saudi team will participate with four players; Fahd Al-Samih 54 kg, Riyad Al-Dhafri 58 kg, Ali Al-Mabrouk 80 kg, Donia Abu Taleb 49 kg, and a technical and administrative staff.

Saudi Women Volleyball Team Leaves for Jordan to Participate in West Asia Championship

Riyadh– The Saudi women volleyball team mission yesterday left for Amman to participate in the first West Asia Championship that is scheduled to be held between November 15 and 24.

The Saudi team will play its first matches tomorrow against Iraq at 12 noon.

The Saudi team plays in the first group along with Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, where the second group comprises Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
