MOH Stresses Importance of Taking 2 Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine to Prevent Mutations

​The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reiterated the continuation of compliance with precautionary measures, as well as completing two doses of COVID-19 vaccine to prevent the virus mutations.

 

According to MOH’s latest statistics, 850 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 532,785 confirmed cases, including 10,103 active cases and 1,404 critical cases.

 

In addition, 975 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 514,362 recoveries. Also, 9 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,320, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them.

 

MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.

Iraq’s Oil Exports to America Decreased

Baghdad, The US Energy Information Administration announced today, Saturday, that Iraq’s oil exports to America decreased by 63 thousand barrels per day during the past week.

According to a report by the administration: “The average US imports of crude oil during the past week from nine countries amounted to 5.588 million barrels per day, an increase of 391 thousand barrels per day over the previous week, which amounted to 5.197 million barrels.”

The report added that “America imported crude oil from Iraq at a rate of 82 thousand barrels per day, down by 63 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which amounted to 145,000 barrels per day.”

The report pointed out that “most of America’s oil imports during the past week came from Canada at a rate of 3.228 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico, whose imports amounted to 634,000 barrels per day, followed by Brazil, whose imports amounted to 627 thousand barrels per day, then Saudi Arabia at 351 thousand barrels per day.

According to the administration, “the amount of US imports of crude oil from Russia amounted to 267 thousand barrels per day, followed by Nigeria, whose imports reached an average of 212,000 barrels per day, followed by Colombia, which averaged 141,000 barrels per day, and Ecuador at a rate of 46 thousand barrels per day.”

G20 Research Ministers Conclude Meeting in Trieste City of Italy

Trieste, In the presence of Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, the research ministers of the G20 countries have concluded their meeting in Trieste city of Italy, stressing the importance of digital transformation in developing educational practices and encouraging innovation opportunities in society.
The first theme of the recommendations included “keeping up with the changing nature of skills.” while the second theme dealt with “principles and ethical values in higher education, scientific research and management of digital technologies.”
The third theme included “ensuring the quality of communication and infrastructure: opportunities for cooperation being provided by digital technologies.”

Saudi Press: Unremitting Efforts Contributed to Decreasing New COVID-19 Cases in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Yaum Newspaper reported in its editorial that the gradual decrease in the numbers of new COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reflects the success of the unremitting efforts of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of Health announced that the numbers of new COVID-19 cases have fallen below a thousand, indicating that precautionary and preventive measures being implemented to confront the implications of COVID-19 pandemic are efficient, the paper said.

Mauritania Records 365 New Infections of Coronavirus

Nouakchott, Mauritania recorded 365 new infections of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), along with 9 deaths in the past 24 hours.
The Mauritanian Ministry of Health announced in a statement Friday that the total number of the virus infections reached 27,596, while the total deaths rose to 592.
