Baghdad, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed the formation of the new (Iraqi-Saudi) Coordination Council, to succeed the previous Council, which is made up of Ministers of the resigned government.

A statement by the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers stated today that the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it, that the council will be chaired by Minister of Finance Ali Abdul Amir Allawi, and membership of Ministers of Planning, Oil, Transport, Agriculture, Culture, Industry and Minerals, Youth and Sports, Higher Education and Scientific Research In Addition to the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers (the National Coordinator of the Council), the Governor of the Central Bank, the President of the National Investment Authority (Council Reporter), the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Interior for Intelligence and Federal Investigation, the Under Secretary of the Treasury, and the Ambassador of the Republic Iraq in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
