The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by the Data Center of the National Information Center, has received the Tier III Certificate of Preparedness and Accreditation from the UPTIME Institute specializing in the assessment and classification of data centers worldwide.
SDAIA has received this certificate following the data centre's efforts to meet international standards tested by the institute, including the 99.99 per cent availability of data center operating systems and the possibility of preventive and periodic maintenance of the electromechanical infrastructure that supports the data center without any interruption of the host systems and services, in addition to the continuity of the operation of systems and services hosted in the data centers of SDAIA.
The UPTIME Institute’s classification includes accurate tests that undergo different stages, from design and conformity to on-the-ground implementation. At the same time, its certification is based on consistent global standards for designing and establishing data centers to ensure continuity of work even in difficult and exceptional operating conditions, such as power outages and various operational errors.
