Riyadh, Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that Iran is the main reason for the region's instability because of its blatant interference in the affairs of Arab countries in an attempt to extend its expansionist influence, which it believes will lead to the restoration of the glories of the defunct Persian Empire. The paper added that Iran must return to its normal size as the international community will not allow it to go beyond its natural place.
Al-Bilad newspaper said that the Iranian policy targets the stability of many countries in the region, raises civil strife and disruption, as well as threatens the international oil supplies. The paper pointed out that the United States emphasized protecting Americans 'lives and maintaining stability in the Middle East, and the seriousness of its stance and strong warnings against any targeting of Americans.
