Saudi-Indian Collaboration Strengthened in New Delhi Meeting

New Delhi – Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), met with Shri Piyush Goyal, the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, today in New Delhi. The meeting served as a platform for discussing mutual collaboration and investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a focus on enhancing the relationship between the two nations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussion centered around coordinating with Indian regulatory authorities and companies to boost exports of medicines and food products to the Kingdom. The talks also addressed challenges in maintaining product quality and safety while increasing export volumes.

Dr. Aljadhey highlighted the progress of Indian products imported into Saudi Arabia and the technical and health requirements for importing food, as established in an agreement with India's Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). He also shared insights from his recent meetings with regulatory authorities and pharmaceutical companies in India.
