Riyadh - Saudi Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, leading a delegation of nearly 90 prominent businessmen and key figures from major Saudi national companies, met with Egypt's Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Kamal Madbouly in Cairo. The Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nugali, was also present.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Discussions centered on enhancing the economic and trade partnership between Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Dr. Al-Qasabi held additional meetings with key Egyptian ministers and officials, including the Minister of Trade and Industry, the Minister of International Cooperation, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI). The discussions focused on boosting bilateral trade, exploring opportunities in vital sectors in light of Saudi Vision 2030, and strengthening regional plans for transforming the area into a global logistics hub. Emphasis was placed on joint ventures, digitization in small and medium-sized enterprises, and addressing business challenges in free zones.
