Baghdad, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji confirmed that Iraq seeks to strengthen and develop its relations with its Arab, regional and international surroundings.
The National Security Adviser said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / received a copy of it: “Al-Araji met today in his office the Saudi ambassador in Baghdad Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari, and during the meeting they discussed brotherly relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and work to strengthen them in all fields.”
Al-Araji pointed out that “Iraq seeks today to strengthen and develop its relations with its Arab, regional and international surroundings, in a way that serves the peoples of the region and the world and establishes the foundations of security and stability that will benefit everyone.”
He praised the role and honorable stances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing Iraq’s endeavor to open new horizons of joint cooperation with the Kingdom, and to exchange experiences between the two countries in all fields.
For his part, the Saudi ambassador affirmed that the Kingdom seeks to develop relations with Iraq in areas that serve the two brotherly countries and peoples, stressing the Kingdom’s readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the fields of oil, energy and economy, in addition to working to open security channels between the two countries.
