Paris-- Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Mohammad Al-Sheikh today participated in the Transforming Education Pre-Summit, where the summit is scheduled to be held in September to exchange outcomes of the national consultations, discuss their commitment to transforming education and present national initiatives for each of the topics of the September summit, with the participation of 140 ministers from around the world.
The agenda of the first day of the preparatory meeting includes four main aspects, where the meeting will start with a closed meeting for the steering committee of the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, followed by an official opening session dubbed “Ambition to transform education”, then an “inspiring dialogue” that includes a roundtable ministerial meeting to share the outcomes of national consultations, ideas and vision, and commitment to transforming education, reaching the “building and translating knowledge into policy and practice,” where it includes a debate on the five aspects of the summit’s topics.
The pre-summit continues tomorrow that will witness the conclusion of national consultations and completing the draft of outcomes and joint understanding regarding the most important elements to transform education.
