Dhahran, July 01, 2019, SPA — King Abdul Aziz International Cultural Center (Ithra) in Dhahran today organized the final meeting of the “Ithra Southern Border” initiative, the largest of its kind, in the presence of a number of educational leaders in the departments of education in the southern border.
The initiative targeted the southern border areas (Najran, Asir and Jazan) by four programs to enrich the children of the southern border, with the participation of more than 44 thousand beneficiaries through 400 thousand hours of education, presented by the King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center (Ithra) for two years.
The initiative of enriching the southern border was launched when the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, inaugurated the King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center (Ithra) in 2017 as Khalid Al Falih, the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, announced this initiative, to enrich 20 thousand.
The initiative is a contribution from the (Ithra) Center to building knowledge and highlighting new paths of creativity. These programs are designed to stimulate curiosity in the fields of science, arts and technology to support the Kingdom’s efforts for transforming the kingdom to a knowledge society by fostering passion for knowledge and innovation.
