Jeddah, King Abdullah University for Sciences and Technology (KAUST) has organized at its premises an international hackathon to promote future technological solutions for NEOM project which received a big competitive turnout by developers, designers, programmers and entrepreneurs from all over the Kingdom and Middle East in order to develop the next generation technologies in the field of food, water and energy for the giant project of NEOM.

More 1000 applications for this hackathon which lasted for three days were received where 200 were selected by the arbitration committee to find solutions for three key challenges for the future of the energy, water and food technologies of NEOM.
