Riyadh, Under chairmanship of President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) Dr. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Sultan, the fourth meeting of Saudi-French Joint Nuclear Committee was held here today.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Sultan, head of the Saudi side, delivered a speech in which he highlighted a number of activities and achievements in addition to assessment of the cooperation march between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of France within joint agreements and contracts in the fields of peaceful use of atomic energy.
The French side was led by French ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Francois Gouyette in participation of representatives of a number of French ministries and instituations.
During the meeting, they reviewed joint activities to develop human capabilities in the field of atomic energy. They also discussed aspects of potential cooperation between the two sides, in addition to the latest developments of the National Atomic Energy Project in the Kingdom. They also reviewed the national energy policy and the nuclear energy industry in the Republic of France and the main partners.
