Amman, Chair of the current session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Eng. Atef Tarawneh today condemned the terrorist attack that targeted Shaybah oil field in the Kingdom last Saturday using booby-trapped drones.
In a statement issued by the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, Tarawneh reiterated his utter rejection of all forms of terrorism and its subversive criminal manifestations, especially targeting civilians and vital economic installations whose benefits are not limited to their owners, but bring good, stability and prosperity to the whole world without exception.
He expressed the Union's support and solidarity with the Kingdom, in all its concrete efforts to enhance its security and protect its interests and preserve the global energy supply and the world economy, stressing the need to intensify diplomatic and security cooperation and coordination at the regional and international levels in order to stop all those who follow the approach of extremism, terrorism, and subversive criminal acts is a way to achieve goals and objectives away from the public interest of the Arab and Islamic nations.
