Saudi Stock Exchange Main Index Ends Trading Higher at 10,536 Points

Riyadh, January 08, 2023, SPA -- Saudi Stock Exchange's main index ended trading higher here today, gaining 5.08 points to close at 10,536.91 points.

The total value of the trading reported was SAR 2.99 billion, while the toll of shares traded was 109 million, divided into over 250,000 deals.

The Saudi Parallel Market Index (NOMU) ended the day losing 100.30 points, to close at 19,204.43 points, with a valuation of SAR 14 million and an overall tally of more than 300,000 stocks traded and divided into as many as 1,593 deals.

GDNC, in cooperation with its Qatari counterpart, arrests 2 individuals in possession of 17.3 kgs of Methamphetamine

Riyadh, January 08, 2023, SPA -- The General Directorate for Narcotics Control, in cooperation with the Qatari counterpart, arrested a Pakistani resident and a Syrian expatriate with a "goods delivery" visa in the Eastern Province, in possession of 17.3 kilograms of Methamphetamine and an amount of money.

The suspects were arrested and faced legal measures and were referred to Public Prosecution.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Receives Head of Islamic Sheikhdom in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Riyadh, January 08, 2023, SPA -- Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh received here today Head of the Islamic Sheikhdom, Head of Scholars, and Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr. Husein Kavazovic, who is currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues related to the situations of Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and bilateral cooperation in the Islamic fields between the ministry and the sheikhdom in light of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries.

KSrelief’s Masam Project Dismantles 1,282 Mines within a Week in Yemen

Riyadh, January 08, 2023, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project (Masam) for clearing mines in Yemen, dismantled, during the first week of January 2023, a total of 1,282 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen, including 6 anti-personnel mines, 123 anti-tank mines, 1,151 unexploded ordnance and 2 explosive devices.

Since the beginning of the project, as many as 380,887 mines have been dismantled.
