MADINAH – The torch for the upcoming 2023 Saudi Games arrived in Madinah as a segment of its promotional journey for the Kingdom's largest ever sports event. Scheduled to take place in Riyadh from November 26 to December 10, the games are garnering attention through their torch relay.
According to a new release by Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Ibrahim Al Razhan received the torch at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport on behalf of the governor. From the airport, the torch relay proceeded to Urwah bin Al-Zubair Palace. At the palace, athletes took turns carrying the torch before heading to King Abdulaziz Square.
As part of the promotion, the torch for the 2023 Saudi Games is making stops at 66 notable cultural and historical landmarks across the Kingdom. Accompanying the torch are various champions and societal influencers. The intent behind this is to promote the positive values represented by the Saudi Games and to convey a message of peace and friendship to the broader community.
