KSA’s Representative and Head of Donor Group to Support UN OCHA Participates in High-level Meeting of Donors in The Hague

The Hague-- Head of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Presidency team to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Donor Support Group and Assistant Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi, and his accompanying delegation, participated here yesterday in the high-level meeting of the donor group to support the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA).

Al-Ghamdi said that the role and tasks of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs are very important in the humanitarian work, adding that throughout history, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided great humanitarian aid as well as providing $96 billion in development assistance to 156 countries.

KSrelief Continues Implementing Technical Training Courses on Vocational and Commercial Skills in Lahij Governorate, Yemen

Lahij-- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued implementing a technical training course on public electricity maintenance skills in Lahij Governorate, Yemen as part of the vocational and commercial skills training and support project in partnership with the United Nations Development Program in Yemen.

This $3 million project is being implemented in the governorates of Hadramout and Lahij and aims to improve the livelihoods of the Yemeni people and enhance productive services.

ETEC Obtains Membership of Washington Accord for Engineering Programs

Riyadh-- Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA), obtained membership of the Washington Accord, an agreement between the authorities responsible for accrediting or recognizing engineering degrees in higher education.

This membership aims to enhance learning capabilities, and graduate mobility among member states, provide job opportunities for graduates of NCAAA-accredited national academic institutions in the fields of engineering around the world, and help improve and develop relationships with quality assurance agencies and networks around the world, as well as better localize international practices in the accreditation of engineering programs.

Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network Concluded in Azerbaijan with Participation of Shura Council Delegation

Baku-- The Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network concluded today in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with participation of the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.

The Kingdom's delegation participating in the conference includes Shura Council member Dr. Hattan Timraz, Shura Council member Dr. Najwa Al-Ghamdi, and a number of Shura council officials.

KSrelief Distributes 6,000 Cartons of Dates in Lahij Governorate, Yemen

Lahij-- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 6,000 cartons of dates in Lahij Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 42,000 individuals.

This comes as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts, represented by the KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the humanitarian crisis they are going through.

Saudi National Basketball Team Beats Indonesia in World Cup Qualifiers

Riyadh-- The Saudi national basketball team beat its Indonesian counterpart, 67-69, in the match that was held today in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, as part of the World Cup qualifiers.

The Saudi national basketball team will face his Lebanese counterpart next Monday in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
