GCC “Arab Gulf Security 3” Exercise Kicks off in Saudi Arabia

Dammam, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs General Saeed Bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, patronized today the launch of the joint tactical exercise “Arab Gulf Security 3” for the security forces in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States, being hosted by Saudi Arabia in the Eastern Region, with the participation of security forces from all member states.
The launch ceremony started with a review of the participating security forces, followed by a speech by the commander of the exercise, Major General Shaye bin Salem Al-Wadani, who confirmed the completion of preparations of the participating forces to launch joint exercises and activities, which aim to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the GCC countries in the security field and boost the level of coordination and readiness of the security forces to address all the threats and dangers facing the Arab Gulf region.
Major General Al-Wadani said that the joint tactical exercise, “Arab Gulf Security 3”, has been planned since the approval of the GCC interior ministers to launch the third edition of the exercise in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, General Al-Qahtani extended the appreciation and welcome of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz , Minister of Interior, to the participants in the exercise and the GCC interior ministers for their cooperation.
He also inspected the medical units participating in the exercise to ensure that all precautionary measures are taken to maintain a healthy exercise environment.

Royal Saudi Naval Forces Carry Out “Crossing Exercise” with French Naval Forces

Jeddah, The Western Fleet of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces have carried out “Crossing Exercise” on the Red Sea with the French Naval Forces.
The exercise included several combat hypotheses, with the participation of various ships and naval helicopters, aimed at raising the level of combat capability of the naval forces in various naval operations.

Secretaries General of Local and Regional Federations in Asia Concludes Conference

Riyadh, The Conference of the Secretaries General of Local and Regional Federations in Asia, hosted in Riyadh during the period from 13 to 15 January, 2022, concluded today.
Secretary General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) Ibrahim Al-Qasim opened the sessions of the final day of the conference, where he highlighted the future of Saudi football and the vision of SAFF, which focuses on contributing to the development of the game in Asia, and its efforts towards strengthening the Federation’s relations with local federations.
The conference is being held for the first time outside the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, with the participation of 47 local and 5 regional federations.

HRH Crown Prince Condoles Japanese Prime Minister on death of former Prime Minister

Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has sent a cable of condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on the death of former Japanese Prime Minister Toshiki Kaifu.
In the cable, HRH Crown Prince expressed his condolences to the Japanese Prime Minister and the family of the deceased, wishing the Prime Minister constant good health and safety.

Morocco Records 8,826 New COVID-19 Cases

Rabat, Morocco recorded 8,826 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the tally to 1,043,225.
In a statement issued today, the Moroccan Ministry of Health said that 9 new deaths were reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 14,963, while the total number of recoveries rose to 972,291.
