First Batch of Saudi Aid Airlift Arrives in Afghanistan

Kabul, Two relief planes, representing the first batch of the Saudi aid airlift to support the Afghan people, dispatched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), carrying 1,647 food baskets and 192 shelter bags, with a total weight of 65 tons and 746 kilograms arrived in here today.
The KSrelief handed over the aid to Deputy President of Afghanistan Red Crescent Association Mohammed Al Tayeb, in the presence of the Saudi Consul in Afghanistan, Mishaal Al-Shammari.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi aid airlift, operated by the KSrelief, consists of 6 relief planes carrying 197 tons and 238 kilograms of food and shelter, including 5,022 food baskets and 576 shelter bags to support the Afghan people.
This aid comes as an embodiment of the great humanitarian role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, towards brotherly and friendly countries in various crises.

Jordan Records 3,812 New Cases of COVID-19

Amman, The Jordanian Ministry of Health reported 3,812 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections to 1,027,844.
It explained, in a press statement, that the recovery tally rose to 951,537, after recording 4770 related cases, adding that the death tally rose to 12,118, following reporting 40 deaths.

SFD’s CEO Receives Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka

Riyadh, The CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, met here today, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Nanayakkara, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, P.M. Amza.
During the meeting, they discussed the existing development projects provided by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the SFD, which aim to contribute to achieving sustainable development in Sri Lanka as well as a number of issues of common interest.

Palestine Records 349 New Cases of COVID-19

Ramallah, Palestine recorded, in the past 24 hours, 349 new infections with the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), one death, and 316 recoveries in all Palestinian governorates.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that the recovery rate reached 98.2%, while the percentage of active cases is 0.8%, and the death rate is 1% of the total infections.
